🌊 The Friendly Kite Story

 

Friendly Kite was never just a business — it started as an idea to change something that didn’t feel right.

 

We saw talented local instructors and riders not getting the opportunities, respect, or support they deserved. So we built something different. A place where instructors, assistants, helpers, independent riders — and even other schools — could grow together, not compete against each other.

 

What started as a vision quickly became a movement.

 

With the help of local kids who once stood on the beach just watching, dreaming of one day flying a kite… today, we proudly have 11 IKO-certified professionals, all from Buen Hombre.

 

That’s not just progress — that’s proof.

We are based in Playa Buen Hombre, a raw and authentic fishing village in the Dominican Republic.

 

A place that hasn’t been overbuilt, overhyped, or overrun — and that’s exactly what makes it special.

The water stays shallow, flat, and forgiving.
